Two more people have been arrested related to a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
