Vehicles in German City Found Covered with Swastikas in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Law Enforcement
Officers reported they were alerted by a resident who discovered a car in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid

Approximately fifty automobiles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they stated in a statement.

Officers report they were alerted during the night on Wednesday night, when a resident observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored fluid.

The liquid had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then found many other marked automobiles and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

These symbols are prohibited in Germany under laws outlawing the visible presentation of symbols from the Nazi era.

Officials state preliminary tests suggest the fluid was most likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; authorities are currently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the occurrence," they added.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to unravel the mystery" and have appealed to the public for details.

A high-ranking official stated the attack made him stunned and needed to be solved rapidly.

"This event affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing attack five years ago," he wrote on online, recalling the death of nine individuals by a assailant aiming at residents of immigrant origin in five years prior.
